Meet Kyran & Brotherboy Bill.
Two mates who genuinely make each other laugh — and everyone around them too.
Kyran is a proud Barkindji man. Bill has Down syndrome. Those things are part of their story — but they're not the whole of it. What people see first is the friendship: the stitching-up, the in-jokes, the way they back each other in.
"One of us lives with Down syndrome. One of us doesn't. Around here, that's not what matters most."
Aboriginal culture runs through everything they do — not as decoration, but as foundation. Family first. Community always. Look after your mob. That's how they were raised, and it's how The Brotherboys came to be.
It began with a laugh.
It started the way most good things do — two mates mucking around, filming a bit, and realising people actually loved watching them be themselves. No script, no filter. Just honesty and a whole lot of humour.
From there it grew into something bigger: schools, community events, campaigns and stages right across the region. But at its heart it's still the same thing it always was — two brothers, having a good time, and bringing people along for the ride.
